Solid blackened seasoning

I like all types of fish blackened and, after trying a bunch of bigger name products, Bordeaux T is the best seasoning out there.

Absolutely delicious 🤌🏾

I used this for almost everything along with a different spice. I’m addicted to the blackening flavor it gives🤤

Favorite seafood seasoning!!

I just ate leftover cold shrimp that I had sauteed with this seasoning for dinner. They were still so delicious, I had to sit down and write a review. This seasoning is my family's new favorite, we've put it on chicken, and loved that too! My picky eater 5 year old loves it too, and he even asks before he takes a bite of his shrimp if it has this seasoning.

Best blackened salmon ever.

If you know you should eat salmon but can not stand the taste try Boudreaux seasoning . I used to eat salmon on occasion just for my cholesterol, but it was a chore. Since discovering this amazing seasoning I eat it three times a week. My good cholesterol has gone up and my Doctor is amazed.

Great spice blend | fresh ingredients | smells AMAZING

Fabulous sprinkled on roasted veggies. Add to savory waffles and Dutch babies. Sprinkle in sour cream to make a delicious dip. And because of the spices, it's also a great addition to Indian food because there are a lot of Indian spices in here (like cumin, garlic, ginger, coriander, nutmeg). This would really give a curry a lot of nuance. Of course, it's fabulous on meat as well but my family doesn't eat a lot of meat and it has many other great uses as well.

Flavorful but it is spicy

The spices are flavorful and work well in many recipes. I am not sure what purpose blackening might serve, but overall I liked it. There is spiciness to it, but not so much so a wimp like myself would say it is too hot if used sparingly. It has cayenne pepper quite high on the list. I can only add a bit of the mix to the pot, not as much as I would have if it were not that hot.

Great seasoning

This is a really delicious blackening seasoning and it doesn't taste like a burnt bitter mess, which has been the case in many blackening seasonings we have tried over the years. This blend tastes great on pretty much everything. I don't eat meat, however my guy does and he likes the results on pork and beef. It was super delicious on shrimp, fish, and vegetables as well. Smells wonderful when you open the container, it is presented nicely and the price point is similar to local specialty mixes, store bought name brand mixes, and generic.

Delicious

We usually use black magic, but this was super tasty too, just not enough spice for us Cajuns.

Great Flavor!

This is a delicious blend of seasonings with no fillers, and every ingredient is recognizable. It is a salty blend, so there's no need to add additional salt at all. I am a plain cook and really appreciate these blends that I can just add to fish or chicken, and not have to add anything else. I also really appreciate the instructions right on the bottle because I need all the help I can get to make delicious food! This is definitely worth trying!

Quality rub! Sweet with a little kick.

Very nice rub/seasoning. Large glass jar, filled to the brim. Large shaker holes. Sticks to meats, fish and chicken well and gives a nice crust with a strong brown sugar sweetness with a slight cajun kick at the end. I'm a fan.

Expanding the use

This is terrific for egg, egg whites, omelettes, and quiche. I know it's meant for blackening meats, but I cook a lot of breakfast and I needed some flavor on my eggs. I just sprinkle it raw on top and it gives the eggs amazing flavor. The seasoning is very good and when I use it as intended, I add red pepper flakes to spice it up because this is mild.

Excellent taste, not so hot as to overwhelm delicate foods

There's another popular blackening seasoning that I really like, but it's hotter, and heavier than this. This one has milder heat, and potent flavors, but it isn't so overwhelming to a fine cut of salmon or other fish, or a thin filet of chicken. It's a beautiful mix, the spices are finely cut but not ground, so it makes a really nice presentation. I highly recommend this for seafood. I will save my heavier, finer ground, hotter blackening seasoning for my ribeyes, thick chicken breasts, and other beef, and keep this one on hand for fish and thin filets of chicken.

Almost perfect for heat wimps like me!

Its got some heat but gentle compared to all the other similar seasonings. Saltier than we prefer. When you buy a seasoning, always look at the first ingredient. If its salt, chances are its there more for filler and thats a problem for folks like me who (smartly) watch their sodium. Having said that, this is ideal on any fish and provides the perfect heat wimp kick.

Just the right amount of heat.

Put this on some chicken wings this weekend and threw them on the grill. Kids tore em up. Not too spicy with a little something sweet on the back end. So good. So easy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this different from other Cajun seasonings?

Boudreaux T’s is made with 19 USDA Organic ingredients and contains no MSG, preservatives, or fillers. It’s a cleaner, milder alternative to traditional Cajun blends, with a layered flavor that shines on everything from salmon to sautéed greens.

Can I use it on meats other than fish?

Definitely. While it's a favorite blackened rub for salmon and seafood, it also tastes amazing on chicken, pork, steak, and even in veggie stir-fries. Try it on anything you want to give a Cajun twist!

What’s the best way to use Boudreaux T’s?

For classic blackened fish or chicken, coat your protein lightly with oil, season generously with Boudreaux T’s, and sear in a smoking hot cast iron skillet. It’s also great on roasted veggies or added to dips and sauces for extra flavor.

Is Boudreaux T's spicy?

No, it's a mild blackening blend. You get the smoky, savory depth of Cajun-style blackening from organic paprika, garlic, and herbs, without the cayenne-heavy heat of traditional Cajun seasoning. Kid-friendly and crowd-safe.

How do I blacken fish with it?

Pat fillets dry, coat generously with Boudreaux T's, and sear in a very hot cast iron skillet with melted butter, about 2–3 minutes per side until a dark crust forms. Works best with salmon, redfish, tuna, and other firm or oily fish.

Why is there sugar in the ingredients?

A touch of organic brown sugar helps create that signature caramelized crust when searing – especially on fish or chicken. It balances the smoky heat and enhances the overall flavor without making the seasoning taste sweet.

Why does this blend only come in a pouch?

We don't add anti-caking chemicals to any Flavor Seed blend. Seasonings built on garlic and sugar will eventually cake in a glass jar without them – that's simply what real ingredients do. You can break it loose with a butter knife easily enough, but our customers told us they'd rather not have to. So we moved this blend to flexible packaging, where you can break the seasoning up right in the bag.
